Dayco, a leading supplier of engine components and drive systems for automotive and industrial equipment and the after-sales service market, strengthens partnership with the Turin Polytechnic University as part of its project to develop electrical systems for manufacturers of hybrid vehicles.

The trend towards the electricity of cars is intensified throughout the world, given the relevance of the problem of global climate change and the need to introduce alternative, environmentally friendly solutions. Collaboration Dayco with scientists of the Turin Polytechnic University is aimed at studying vehicle hybridization systems and the development of technical innovations that will provide automakers to the most practical and effective ways to switch to environmentally friendly technologies. The association of scientific research of the Turin Polytechnic with specialized knowledge and production capabilities of Dayco will serve as a good basis for the incarnation of technological advances in life. Agreement on joint activities in this area was signed on February 21, 2020 by the Director-General of Dayco Joelemba Cherigo and the rector of the Turin Polytechnic University of Guido Saarakko in the Dayco Europe office in San Bernardo D’Ivrea, Italy.

«We enthusiastically strengthen our relations with the well-known scientists of the Turin Polytechnic University and go out to a new level of cooperation, which will create advanced hybrid systems and support our customers around the world on the way to electric mobility,» commented Joel Viger.

«Relying on the previous many years of experience with Dayco, we collected a strong interdisciplinary team of scientists to increase our contribution to the development of transport technologies,» said Professor Guido Sarakko.
